Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is considered to be one of the top most global stars today, opened up about her early days in the industry, right after she won the Miss World title in 2000. In a world where face surgeries are spoken about in hush tones, the Citadel star not only boldly accepted about getting a nose job done but also opened up about how badly it affected her when she felt that the surgery had gone wrong. However, she expressed her gratitude towards filmmaker Anil Sharma of Gadar fame to have trusted with her and given her opportunity in the industry.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas opened up about her nose surgery and confessed that she is extremely thankful to her late father to have stood by her and supported her during the tough time. She revealed that the job impacted her and she went into depression after the surgery. In the Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern Show, Priyanka said, “This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression.”

She opened up about her father’s support during this bad phase of her life adding, “I was terrified of that, but he was like, ‘I will be in the room with you.’”

Further, Priyanka admitted that she felt like her Bollywood career was over. The surgery obviously impacted her career with the actress losing out about three to four projects which made her believe so. However, she expressed gratitude towards Gadar filmmaker Anil Sharma for giving her an opportunity to be on the big screen. “I was supposed to play this lead, and I was shifted to a supporting character. That filmmaker was very kind … He, while the tide was against me, said, ‘It will be a small part but give it your all.’ And I did,” she stated.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas worked with Anil Sharma in Hero: Love Story of a Spy which was picturized on Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. The actress is currently married to American pop star Nick Jonas and the duo also have a daughter named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas via surrogacy. As for her work, the actress was recently seen in the ongoing web series Citadel along with Richard Madden that premiered in April on Amazon Prime Video.
