Sanya Malhotra is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Love Hostel on ZEE5. The thriller set in North India is directed by Shanker Raman and also stars Vikrant Massey and Bobby Deol.
The film sees star-crossed lovers seeking shelter in a safe house. This is the first time that Sanya was introduced to the concept of a safe house for couples. Elaborating on the same, Sanya said, "I had no idea about safe houses. In fact, I was blown away by the concept when I was reading about it. I even googled about it and saw some documentaries and just could not believe that this is a part of our society and how like me, many people aren’t aware of this concept. I did not visit a safe house because the one that we created for the film felt close to the real thing. I was very moved by the emotions of the characters, especially Jyoti’s emotions. I usually have some boundaries about getting into the characters but for this film, I had to blur the boundaries between Sanya and Jyoti as I felt that’s what was required. Luckily, despite no reference point for my character, I sailed through because it was my director’s confidence in me from day one. He had faith in my vision of what Jyoti should look or feel like."
The film traces the volatile journey of a spirited young couple (Vikrant and Sanya), being hunted by a ruthless mercenary (Bobby). The star-crossed lovers take on the entire world in search of their fairy-tale ending. Love Hostel is produced by Gauri Khan, Manish Mundra, and Gaurav Verma, and is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation of a Drishyam Films production. Love Hostel premieres on ZEE5 on February 25.
