India is facing the worse of the second wave of COVID-19. Amid the crisis, many international celebrities have taken up the initiative to help in whatever capacity they can and urged their fans to help India amid the COVID-19. Celebrities such as Katy Perry, Richard Madden, Shawn Mendes, Kunal Nayyar, Lilly Singh, Lana Condor, Ellen DeGeneres, Mindy Kaling, Jada Pinkett Smith, and others have asked to make donations, have donated themselves and are sending essential supplies to India.

Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes, Mindy Kaling, Richard Madden, Kunal Nayyar among other international stars urge fans to help India amid COVID-19 crisis

Shawn Mendes took to social media to share a video urging fans to help India. In a video, he is heard saying, "If you've ever been touched by India's culture or India's people, just donate or share, or anything you can do to help."

Ellen DeGeneres wrote, "India needs our help. My friend @JayShettyIW and I are trying to raise $1M for @GiveIndia, and @IndiasporaForum will match it! This means every dollar is doubled, so we can try our best to make a difference. If you can help, I hope you will."

Kunal Nayyar is also participating in the same Jay Shetty campaign.

Richard Madden shared a link to his Citadel co-star Priyanka's fundraiser and wrote, "Please help and support whatever you can. Thank you Priyanka Chopra for setting this up." Lana Condor also shared a link on her Instagram story via Nick Jonas' post.

Katy Perry along with a foundation is helping India with oxygen concentrators. "You may have heard about the devastation the pandemic is having in India right now: Each day a new world record is set for the number of Covid cases (386,453 JUST TODAY according to @NPR) with the peak still to come. Hospitals have stopped admitting patients because they are running low on vital supplies and equipment, including oxygen, leaving people to watch loved ones die on stretchers outside the hospital doors. My friends at the @thebritishasiantrust are trying to help by getting as many oxygen concentrators to hospitals as quickly as possible. If you’d like to help, please consider donating at the link in my bio," she wrote.

Mindy Kaling tweeted, "Continuing to share resources to support the Covid crisis in India. Everything helps. Donations go directly to healthcare physical infrastructure, medical equipment, and vaccine support and mobilization."

Jada Pinkett Smith reshared Priyanka Chopra's video on her Twitter to urge her followers to donate.
